addiction is not cheap

to maintain an addiction it generally cost money, for example smoking, drinking, an other explicit drug.
to smoke just one pack of cigarettes a day cost the average person:
$6.00 per packs
$100.00 in medical
$100.00 in dental
$50.00 for miscellaneous.
it cost on average $2490.00 to fall to this addiction for even just one year. Now imagine you start smoking now an you become an addict for say 20 years that's a total cost of $439800.00 not including such factors as the health of your children( if applicable), or damaged clothing. If you knew back then when you started, what you could have done with all this money, would you have ever started. Smoking is not cheap, don't get me wrong neither are many other addictions, but think about it where could life have been with that money. What would you do with all of that?
In the United States they spend 15.3 Billion on tobacco marketing and promotion.
That is 41 million spent EVERY DAY in the US.
